Philosophy

The approach to this conferences is that it should be well organised, but flexible. The emphasis is upon the work being presented, and the interaction between the participants.

It is in this vein that there are only a few talks (three or four) scheduled for each day. The talks have no time limit. The speaker can take as much time as deemed necessary to present his/her idea. And the floor stays open as long as a lively discussion keeps going. The speaker can also be interrupted at any time to define, or further explain, an idea/concept he/she is using. The topic of the talk is also left up to the judgement of the speaker.

The afternoon activities are scheduled in order to give the participants the opportunity to mull over the talks of the morning, and to exchange ideas among themselves. This is also a great time for the participants to get to know each other, thus creating possible future collaborations.
